Picture of the Day - Calligraphy in Temple of Heaven Park

This gentleman was practicing calligraphy with a broom-sized brush at the Temple of Heaven park in Beijing. He uses water as his ink. His work evaporates. Even if you don't read Chinese you can see that the characters he is writing are of uniform size and shape something that takes a lot of practice.

Picture of the Day - Suzhou Street

In 1762, after returning from touring the Jiangnan region, the Qianlong Emperor ordered the construction of a shopping street resembling Shantang Street in Suzhou at the Summer Palace in Beijing. The Summer Palace is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing, China. It is a popular tourist destination in Beijing. This picture is just a small part that shows the beauty of the Summer Palace.

Passing boats on the lake at the Summer Palace in Beijing provided a pair of dragons for this picture. Dragons are a composite animal. They have the scales of fish. The horns of a deer. Teeth of a tiger. The body of a snake and the claws of an eagle.

Herb Source for David Andrews Diabetes Destroyer System formula

We were recently made aware of the Diabetes Destroyer diabetes treatment program from diabetesdestroyer.com, designed by David Andrews. While we haven't read the book we are informed that this book suggests a Chinese herb formula which is the same formulation as the DC formula we sell. The majority of the herbs are in powdered extract form. One herb, fenugreek, is not available as an extract powder, but is available as a regular powder. East Earth Trade Winds has also found what they believe to be the only source of Shepherd's Purse in Extract Powder form. This herb is sold separately and needs to be added to the mix. The only herb they don't have is chicory because chicory is not a Chinese herb. You can get chicory at health food stores or possibly supermarkets as it is used as a coffee substitute.
